About Steve
Steve is a drinker with a serious cycling problem.
It would be far too melodramatic to say that cycling saved his life but 15 years ago Steve was overweight and with stratospheric blood pressure. Cycling seemed like a marginally less unpleasant way of remedying this than jogging so down came the bike from the garage wall; the rest, as they say, is history.
When Steve isn't cycling he is talking about cycling, searching the interweb for cool new cycling stuff or fitting said stuff to a growing fleet of bikes. His wife, Bridget, is less than impressed!
After a long and very dull career in IT, Steve enjoyed a wonderful 4 years as the owner of Bike Adventures, travelling the world and generally messing around on bikes. Since the end of 2014 he is officially 'retired' but keeps his hand in as an occasional tour leader and route developer for the new owners.
He is as happy as the proverbial pig in s**t.
